The drama Sunn Mere Dil has become the center of attention, largely due to the repeated mention of a specific sum of money, “8 crore,” which has left fans more perplexed than engaged.
Writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, known for his controversial and often criticized works, finds himself in hot water again. After facing backlash for the infamous “2 takay ke larki” dialogue from Meray Paas Tum Ho, Qamar is once again receiving criticism, this time for his persistent use of “8 crore” in Sunn Mere Dil.
In the plot, the character Sadaf, played by Maya Ali, discovers her brother Zaviyar has cancer. The doctor informs her that a transplant could save his life, but it’s only available in the U.S. Sadaf then approaches Bilal Abdullah, portrayed by Wahaj Ali, and pleads with him to lend her 8 crore, promising to fulfill any of his demands in return. Bilal agrees, and the check is handed over.
While Maya Ali and Wahaj Ali lead the cast of Sunn Mere Dil, the drama has not received the anticipated positive response. Viewers have expressed disappointment with the script, and many find the character development lacking.
The phrase “8 crore” has dominated conversations, becoming a focal point on social media. Instagram blogger Miss Malik even compiled a list of the times it is mentioned in the series, revealing it has been used at least 13 times. Alongside this, another repetitive line, “crore chahiye,” has also caught the attention of viewers.
Fans are voicing their frustration over the overuse of this phrase, with many questioning its relevance and impact on the overall quality of the drama.
