A blast exploded near the vehicle of security forces in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan. The explosion took place near Quetta’s Eastern Bypass and injured nine people, including a policeman, early this morning.
According to police reports, the explosion was caused by a remote-controlled device hidden in a motorcycle parked alongside the road.
Rescue teams swiftly transported the injured to Civil Sandeman Hospital for immediate medical assistance. Reportedly one person is in critical condition.
The explosion damaged the vehicle of security forces and a nearby rickshaw. The police and other law enforcement officials cordoned off the area, and an investigation has been launched.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Police and security agencies are working to identify those involved in the incident.
