Pakistani journalist and filmmaker Reham Khan is once again venturing into the film making business and announced her upcoming project. Khan will be working on the upcoming Pakistani-Punjabi film titled Cheema, Chatta and Bajwa.
Reham Khan as filmmaker
This film, however, isn’t the first time Khan has followed her film production aspirations. She previously produced the critically and commercially successful film Janaan in 2016 which boasted a star studded cast.
Directed by Azfar Jafri and written by Osman Khalid Butt, Janaan was co-produced by Hareem Farooq, Reham, Munir Hussain and Imran Raza Kazmi. The film stars Armeena, Bilal Ashraf, and Ali Rehman Khan in pivotal roles.
Media outlets suggest that Khan would not only be involved in the project as a producer but also as a writer. Both the ventures underpin her commitment to promote diversity and out-of-the-box narratives within the film fraternity. Other details regarding the project remain under wraps, hopefully to be revealed soon.
While her accomplishments remains highlighted throughout her career, it is her personal life that has always been the center of attention. Having entered into her third marriage with Mirza Bilal in December of last year, her matrimonial unions have been a subject of public interest. Khan was earlier married in 1993 to Ijaz Rehman, followed by a divorce in 2005, and subsequently with former Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2014, which ended in divorce a year later.
