Realme, like its Chinese competitor Redmi, is set to launch a new line of smartphones shortly. However, Realme’s new portfolio is going to focus on India initially, even if Redmi’s new Turbo series will probably launch there first.
The announcement was made shortly after Realme unveiled the 12x in India. Realme India has now announced that it would shortly launch a new smartphone series in the nation via its official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The “Power Up” teaser trailer reveals that a new series is on the way, but it doesn’t provide any information about a particular smartphone. “A New Power” is coming, according to the mainly AI-generated ad, which probably alludes to the phone’s hardware capabilities, but you never know with these marketing efforts.
The GT series is noticeably absent from Realme’s selection, with its C-series and numbered series smartphones being the focus of the company’s official website in India. We’re now awaiting official word on the new series’ naming scheme and strategic placement within Realme’s wide line of smartphones.
If performance is the primary objective of this smartphone, it will follow a similar strategy to Redmi’s future Turbo line of phones. Situated between the Redmi Note and K series of smartphones, those phones will prioritize performance as well.
The recently unveiled Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is anticipated to power the Redmi Turbo 3, the first phone in the series, offering affordable flagship-level performance. We advise treating this information with caution, but if Realme is following suit with its new series, this enigmatic phone may also be powered by the same CPU.
