Punjab University Lahore has deferred all examinations due to the worsening smog situation in the city.
Administration has announced that a new schedule of all the postponed exams will be issued soon. However the classes for all departments will be conducted as per schedule online.
This notification from university administration has come after Punjab Government announcement to shut down all the institutions due to worsening smog condition in Lahore.
Previously Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has announced an extension in holidays in all educational institutes of Punjab.
To address the escalating smog crisis, Minister announced a health emergency in Lahore and Multan, alongside implementing of immediate actions. A complete lockdown will be enforced on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if air quality does not improve, she says.
As per this declaration schools, colleges, and universities throughout Punjab, except in Murree, will remain closed until November 24, with all institutions shifting to online classes.
