In the previous year, nine terrorist attacks were reported in Sargodha and DG Khan.
These terrorist attacks claimed the lives of two police officers and one civilian, leaving several injured.
Punjab’s Inspector General associated these attacks with weak infrastructure at the border posts of Punjab and KPK.
IG Punjab submitted a summary to the Punjab Home Department, proposing the upgrade of 30 border outposts in Sargodha and DG Khan.
The Cabinet Committee has approved the cost of the project. The total amount is estimated at Rs52,710,000.
The Department of Construction and Communications has finished the survey, and a supplementary grant will soon be issued to fund the upgrades.
