The “Punjab Chief Minister International Scholarship Programme” was introduced by the Punjab government to help gifted students in the province pursue higher education.
This program, which was just announced, intends to help worthy people get master’s and doctoral degrees from prestigious universities throughout the world.
According to officials, the program will receive Rs 26 billion in funding and provide scholarships to students who want to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees at prestigious international universities.
The program is scheduled to officially launch in the next fiscal year, with a budgetary allocation of Rs5 billion.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and US Consul General Kristin K. Hawkins discussed expanding Pakistani students’ access to higher education in the US in March.
Reputable international institutions will open campuses in Lahore’s Education City to serve students from all over Pakistan, the CM was told during a briefing. The CM asked that a thorough plan be created in this area and that it be delivered right away following discussions with university administration.
