The summer break for schools throughout the province has been declared by the Punjab School Education Department.
The Punjab education department said on Friday that all public and private schools will be put off from June 1 to August 14, 2024.
“All public and private schools throughout Punjab shall remain closed from Saturday, June 1, 2024, to Wednesday, August 14, 2024, for summer vacation,” the notification said.
“All schools in the province shall reopen with effect from Thursday, August 15, 2024,” it said. Summer breaks for kids were already declared by the Education Department of Balochistan.
The notice states that cooler regions will have a 10-day holiday from July 22 to July 31 while heat-prone areas will have summer vacations from May 15 to July 31.
In the next few days, it is also anticipated that Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would declare their summer break for students.
