Sher Afzal Marwat, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. The outspoken politician shared updates regarding his health on social media.
When Marwat’s COVID-19 test resulted in a positive result, he notified his party officials and said, “I am being admitted to the hospital.”
Furthermore, the PTI leader posted on X, the old name for Twitter, disclosing specifics about his test: “After being sick, preliminary testing showed that I had COVID-19 infection.
“My body is hurting and has a very high fever. I’ve been admitted to the hospital, and I ask that you all pray for a quick recovery for me.”
According to doctors, the COVID pandemic is currently less lethal.”
During a National Assembly session earlier last week, Federal Minister for Energy Awais Leghari disclosed to Deputy Speaker Ghulam Mustafa Shah that he “thinks that he has COVID-19.”
The minister covered his face with a mask and remarked, “I think I have severe COVID symptoms,” which made the deputy custodian of the house express his worry.
Shah urged Leghari to “go get tested” when he stated that he was not yet diagnosed and that he was only making this claim based on his symptoms.
