PTI protest update: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the cancellation of the protest in Islamabad.
The political party condemned the action taken against the participants of the peaceful protest in Islamabad in the name of the operation and appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan for suo motu notice.
PTI spokesperson said that given the government’s plan, the cancellation of the peaceful protest of PTI has been announced for the time being.
The future course of action will be decided in light of the instructions of PTI founder Imran Khan.
The spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf further said that protesters were rained with bullets on the streets of Islamabad and hundreds of unarmed Pakistanis were injured and bathed in blood.
At the behest of mandate-thieving fascists, dozens of unarmed innocent workers were martyred by bullets from government machinery. So far, 8 PTI workers have reportedly been killed by the government.
The spokesperson also said we pay tribute to the workers and citizens who reached D-Chowk for peaceful protests.
He added, “We pay tribute to the workers and citizens who crossed a river of fire and blood from all over the country, especially from the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, and northern Punjab, and reached D-Chowk in a completely peaceful manner.”
The PTI spokesperson further said that they are also very grateful to the people of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for hosting the convoys coming from all over the country.
According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s central media department, they are also grateful to the overseas Pakistanis who held historic protests around the world on the call of founding chairman Imran Khan.
He said that the future action plan will be announced in the light of Imran Khan’s instructions, true freedom is our destination, and we will continue to struggle.
