Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has scheduled a protest at D-Chowk for October 4, with the party’s leadership in Peshawar committed to moving forward despite potential challenges.
The announcement was made following a PTI parliamentary meeting in Peshawar, led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
During the meeting, Gandapur reflected on the shortcomings of their previous demonstration, admitting that the early withdrawal was due in part to inadequate preparation, particularly the absence of protective gear against tear gas.
This time, he vowed that the protest would be more organized, with trained participants and necessary equipment ready. He highlighted that heavy machinery would be deployed at the front of the convoys to remove obstacles, ensuring an unhindered path to D-Chowk.
Gandapur also indicated that the demonstration could extend over several days.
The meeting concluded with a detailed plan, with convoys leaving Peshawar at 11 am and Swabi later in the afternoon, with CM Gandapur again heading the KP delegation.
