Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leadership failed to present a charter of demands even in the third round of talks between government and PTI.
According to media reports, PTI entered the third round of talks without a clear strategy or position.
PTI’s inability to provide a written Charter of Demands has been the main factor contributing to the standstill, media reports say.
There has reportedly been no communication from either party with the Speaker’s office regarding the arrangement of the next round of negotiations.
As per reports, PTI leadership will finalize the list of demads and a clear strategy after meeting with Imran Khan, PTI’s incarcerated leader.
PTI is expected to finalize its stance on the Charter of Demands in the next round, reportedly.
However, the government, on the other hand, is hesitant to proceed without this document. Government is stand with the point to present a written chart to move towards formal discussions.
According to media reports, the government’s position is that if PTI insists on a written Charter of Demands, it will also require a formal written agreement from the opposition party.
On the other hand, PTI sees the government’s request for a written Charter as a demand for an NRO-like agreement, complicating the situation further.
