Dr. Zakir Naik, a well-known religious figure, is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan next month. Trained as a medical doctor, he has gained recognition as a compelling speaker on Islam and Comparative Religion, having delivered over 2,000 lectures in more than 40 countries during his 24-year career, often engaging with audiences through Q&A sessions.
Multiple social media pages linked to the Central Muslim League Karachi have confirmed Dr. Naik’s impending visit, with plans for him to address a gathering at the historic Badshahi Mosque in Lahore on October 11.
In a recent conversation with a Pakistani YouTuber, Dr. Naik shared significant experiences from his life, sparking considerable interest and accumulating millions of views shortly after being posted.
When questioned about his decision to relocate to Malaysia instead of Pakistan after leaving India, Dr. Naik noted, “It would have been simpler for me to choose Pakistan, as I have previously visited and have numerous supporters there.”
He explained his reasoning further, citing an Islamic principle: “Sharia advises us to accept a lesser harm to prevent a greater one. If I had gone to Pakistan, it would have been easy for India to label me an ISI agent and disseminate negative propaganda, jeopardizing my institution and my mission to promote the teachings of Islam.”
It’s worth mentioning that Dr. Naik first set foot in Pakistan in 1991.
