Punjab’s Minister for Information Azma Bokhari said that those who adopt the Taliban’s methods in political opposition would be treated accordingly.
In a media conversation, the Information Minister emphasized that if anyone adopts the Taliban’s approach in political opposition, they will face similar treatment. “This is not our incompetence; it is our decency.” She criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for having a propaganda cell that is used to insult people. “The husband of the accused has a Zong franchise that is operated by him.”
Azma Bokhari further stated that 500 SIM cards have been issued in the name of this woman. “What does she do with these SIM cards? People are blackmailed using these SIMs, and there are acts of misconduct towards individuals.
They are even more dangerous and cruel than one can imagine. They stand in court and pretend to be innocent and oppressed. These 500 SIMs were not issued for the sake of serving humanity; they were issued for chaos and rebellion. We neither have fake accounts nor do we want to create them.”
She added that when the Prime Minister does something, the slogan of freedom of expression is raised. “All these spectacles are not happening by coincidence; they are happening with full planning. If anyone still doesn’t understand this, what can be done? There needs to be laws and regulations for the use of social media.”
