A polio vaccination worker was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted in Jacobabad, as per a statement by the district’s Deputy Commissioner.
The incident happened in Detha village, within the Mola Dad police station’s jurisdiction.
Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Murri stated that law enforcement acted swiftly, transporting the affected individual to James Hospital with heightened security measures.
“The victim is currently receiving medical attention,” he noted, adding that a medicolegal evaluation is being conducted to confirm any signs of assault.
The worker reported being deceived by two armed men who pretended they needed polio drops for children.
“The suspects have been identified, and efforts are ongoing to capture them,” the Deputy Commissioner assured, emphasizing that arrests are expected soon.
