Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme Nawaz Sharif will address today an election rally in Burewala.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is to speak to the gathering in Multan while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami-Fazl (JUI-F) head Maulana Fazlur Rahman will address the election meeting in Muzaffargrah.
Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has reached Sindh in connection with the election campaign. He addressed a public rally in Karachi’s Malir district on Thursday night. Haq will address a public gathering in Hyderabad on Friday. He would also visit some other areas of the interior Sindh during the next two days.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leaders would speak to the people in Nawabshah today.
All major parties except the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are holding public gatherings ahead of the polls. The PTI, however, is virtually deprived of the election campaigning due to the pressure of the country’s powerful military establishment. The police and district authorities are not permitting the PTI candidates to hold rallies. Different surveys, however, predict that PTI is the most popular party in the country.
