The price of petrol and high speed diesel-HSD go up in Pakistan for the next 15 days of July with the start of new fiscal year 2023-24.
The government announced increase an increase of Rs7.45 in price of petrol and Rs9.56 in HSD, according to the notification issued at night.
The decision to increase the petroleum levy (over Rs80 per litre), however, has not been implemented so far.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) says the prices were raised on the basis of increase in prices of petroleum products in international market.
With the latest changes, the official price of petrol for July 1 to July 15 will be Rs265.61 per litre and it will be available in retail market at Rs266 per litre.
The new ex-depot price of diesel will be Rs288 in the market for next 15 days.
