The Pakistan national squad for the forthcoming Test series against England is set to be announced in this week.
According to reports, Shan Masood will remain captain for the series against England, while the national squad will report to Multan on October 2nd.
The visiting English squad will also arrive in Multan on the exact same day. The English squad will have a rest day on October 3rd, while the Pakistani team will begin training on the same day.
Three or four changes are anticipated in the lineup that faced Bangladesh in the Test series, according to sources.
Head coach of the red-ball squad Jason Gillespie has arrived in Faisalabad following the fitness camp in Lahore. Members of the selection committee Asad Shafiq and Muhammad Yousuf are already there, evaluating the national players’ performance in the Champions Cup.
After consulting with the captain and head coach, the selection committee will finalize the list of possible players.
The PCB head’s consent will be required before the national team is revealed ahead of Sunday’s Champions Cup final.
The series will start on October 7.
