Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to make few changes in Pakistan Cricket Team (PCT) after poor Champions Trophy performance.
According to media reports, PCB had decided to let Captain Mohammad Rizwan take some rest and in his place Shadab Khan is being considered for the role.
Other than that, reports also stated that 8-9 new talents are being considered to be added in the team.
The report also claims that key players like Shaheen Afridi, Babar Azam, Haris Rao, Fakhar Zaman, these big names are being considered to be dropped from the squad.
However, new names like Mohammad Haris, Sufyan Muqeem, Arafat Minhar will join the team.
Furthermore, Irfan Khan Niazi, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Waseem, Abbas Afridi, and Jahandad Khan can also get the opportunity to be included in the squad.
Imamul Haq, Tayyab Tahir, and Kamran Ghulam are also expected to be dropped from the squad.
However, Agha Salman, Ibrahim Ahmed, Umair Bin Yousaf, Hassan Nawaz, Ali Raza, and Abdul Samad are expected to be part of the new squad.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had a meeting with chief selectors at NCA National Cricket Academy today.
He also directed selectors to prepare Pakistan’s national team for a better and stronger future of Pakistan in cricket.
