ISLAMABAD: As many as 273 Pakistani companies showcased their products in the International Exhibition of Textiles – Heimtextil 2024 – concluded with the participation of over 2,800 companies from 60+ countries globally.
According to the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), 273 Pakistani companies participated in the exhibition, making the country the fourth leading exhibiting country. It said that Pakistani innovators seized the opportunity and showcased their products, including bedsheets, towels, kitchen linen, and other home textile items on an international stage.
Sustainability took center stage at Heimtextil 2024, with a dedicated area, the Econogy Hub (formerly Green Village) in Hall 12.0. Six Pakistani companies were among the 30 exhibitors emphasizing sustainable practices at this premier international trade fair for home and contract textiles.
As per details the Pakistani exhibitors included esteemed names in home textile industry, such as Gul Ahmed, Alkaram Textile Mills, Lucky Textile Mills, Sadaqat Limited, Gohar Textile Mills, Nishat Chunian, Nishat Mills, Adamjee Enterprises, and Orient Textile Mills, participated in Heimtextil 2024, located in hall level 10.
The TDAP led Pakistan’s robust representation at Heimtextil Frankfurt 2024, assembling over 58 companies to showcase the nation’s textile excellence, underlining Pakistan’s strong commitment to the event. The participation of small and medium-sized companies under the TDAP banner further enriched the exhibition.
Ms. Amna Naeem, Trade & Investment Counselor in Frankfurt, Germany, praised Pakistan’s impressive representation. She emphasized the significance of the textile industry for Pakistan, highlighting its role as a primary contributor to the country’s exports. The participating companies aimed to connect with European stakeholders and a global audience, working diligently to meet international standards.
Mr. Mohd Asif Shaikh, CEO of United Textile Printing Industries, expressed satisfaction with the company’s 30-year presence at Heimtextil. He noted a positive increase in footfall this year, surpassing previous levels, signaling the industry’s resilience and potential for the future.
Mr. Bilal Zafar, Marketing Director at Zafar Fabrics Pvt Ltd, highlighted the company’s two-decade involvement in Heimtextil and praised this year’s exhibition. He emphasized a notable increase in buyer traffic and the company’s commitment to excellence in textile marketing.
