Pakistan’s Ambassador for Turkmenistan, Ahsan Wagan has been deported from the United States on Tuesday. Ambassador Wagan was travelling for vacations there.
Diplomatic sources said that he had some immigration objections which led to his deportation.
Mr. K Wagan is Pakistan’s top diplomat and had previously served in the US as well.
During his tenure in the United States, he was accused of corrupt practices.
Mr. Ahsan was deported from Los Angeles Airport by the United States immigration team.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was informed about the situation. Minister Ishaq asked details regarding the incident from Pakistani provisions.
President Trump since his return to presidential office advocated for Strick’s visa policy.
Moreover, the Trump administration is planning to ban the entry of Pakistani and Afghanistan’s passport holders.
No diplomatic response has come yet from the Trump administration about the deportation of Ambassador Ahsan.
Pakistan Foreign Ministry also did not give any official statement regarding the matter, as the incident is yet under investigation.
