Pakistanis and Kashmirs are marking today as the Kashmir Solidarity Day in all over country, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and across the world.
Februrary 5 is public holiday in Pakistan. Students, teachers, workers of political and religious parties and government departments organise walks and rallies to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren.
As per details, Pakistan Sunni Tehreek organised the rally on Sunday in Faisalabad on Sunday. Pir Asif Qadri, the divisional president addressed the gathering. Cyclists organise rally in Islamabad. Over 100 cyclists rally started from the D-Chowk and it ended in front of National Press Club.
Jamaat-e-Islami will organised a public gathering at The Mall to express solidarity with Kashmiris. JI Emir Sirajul Haq will address the gathering Sunday afternoon.
President Dr Arif Alivi, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Karak in separate messages expressed solidarity with Kashmiris. They reiterated the country’s stance, saying the nation is fully supporting the cause.
Leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also issued statements, supporting the right to self-determination of Kashmirs.
They said the United Nation has granted the rights to people of Kashmir to decide their future whether they want to become part of Pakistan or agree to live with India. But, they were not provided the rights so far as India is violating the international law and mutual agreements between New Delhi and Islamabad.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs also organised a rally in Islamabad. Caretaker foreign, interior and information ministers participated.
