Renowned Pakistani TV host and author Aftab Iqbal has safely returned home following an incident at Dubai Airport that raised alarm within his family.
According to Ayesha Noor, Aftab Iqbal’s daughter, he was detained by immigration officials at Dubai Airport while traveling back from the United Kingdom with his wife. She shared details of the incident on Monday, expressing the family’s initial distress over his detention.
Concerns Over Aftab Iqbal’s Detention
Earlier in the day, Aftab’s brother, also associated with the media, voiced his worries about the situation. In a social media post, he described how Aftab was held at the airport upon arriving from Manchester, UK, on December 22, 2024, and had remained unreachable since then.
Family Appeals for Action
The family urged authorities and community leaders to intervene, highlighting Aftab Iqbal’s contributions as a prominent figure in the media industry. His brother called for immediate efforts to resolve the matter and ensure his safe return.
With the issue resolved, Aftab Iqbal is back home, and his family has expressed relief over his safe return.
