Pakistan warned the Afghan interim government on Thursday not to try to test the patience of the Pakistani people and asked them to take firm, decisive action against the organizations or individuals engaged in terrorist operations in Pakistan.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesman for the Foreign Office, asked Afghan authorities to guarantee that action be done against these terror groups and to take Pakistan’s repeated demands seriously during a weekly news conference on Thursday.
“The terror threat we stand to face from organizations and individuals in Afghanistan should not test the patience of the Pakistani people,” she stated.
Speaking to reporters, the FO spokesperson said that in addition to Pakistan, the Moscow Format and Neighboring Countries Format governments have also encouraged Afghan authorities to take action against these organizations and make sure that their territory is not utilized against Pakistan or any of its neighbors.
A news story on any collaborative security system between Pakistan and China for the safety of Chinese residents in Pakistan was also denied by her as “speculation” and “motivated by agenda,” and she requested the media to find out why such reports were published.
Pakistan and China have strong communication and collaboration based on respect for one another’s sovereignty and mutual cooperation as the Iron Brothers and strategic allies, she continued.
Baloch said that both nations were capable and determined to thwart any effort to undermine their bilateral relationships.
Pakistan’s grave worries on the situation of Kashmiri political prisoners, many of whom are still detained outside of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, were reaffirmed by spokesperson Baloch.
She said that many of them are subjected to cruel incarceration circumstances, such as being held in overcrowded cells, denied access to essential medical treatment, and being held without due process.
