Pakistan Railways has restored domestic train services between Quetta, following the suicide blast at Quetta railway station.
The train operation was suspended after the blast attack in Quetta.
In a press statement CEO of Pakistan Railway said that Jafar Express has departed from from Quetta at the scheduled time today.
He added that Bolan Mail will also run according to the scheduled time in the following days as planned, the decision was made for the convenience of passengers after security clearance.
It is worth noting that the Railways Department had halted train services to other cities due to security concerns following the suicide blast at Quetta railway station.
On November 9, 28 people were killed and more than 60 injured in a bomb blast at the Quetta railway station.
According to the reports, the blast occurred near the ticket office right before the train reached the platform.
Quetta station was crowded as people were about the set off for their travel destination. Shortly before the train arrived at the platform the blast rocked the station leaving many dead and injured.
The rescue teams declared an emergency in hospitals and began to move bodies and the injured to Quetta’s Civil Hospital.
The hospital’s medical staff was placed on high alert, with additional doctors deployed to reinforce the team.
