The Pakistan Railways (PR) announced 25 percent decrease in fare on all passenger and express trains on the occasion of Eidul Adha.
The concession will be available on first, second and third day of Eid on current booking, says the spokesperson for the PR. The fare on special trains would remain unchanged. The public utility is operation three special trains on this Eid from Karachi and Quetta.
“The competent authority has been pleased to grant 25 percent concession in fares of all mail and express, intercity and passenger trains in all classes (managed by the PR only) on auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha for the facilitation of passengers,” read the notification issued by the PR on Tuesday. This concession, it stated, will be allowed on current booking during three-days of Eid.
Concessional fare shall not be less than the minimum fares and rounding off must be ensured. No person or party will be allowed to avail two or more concession at one time, says the PR.
