Hamas spokesman Khalid Qaddoumi says that Pakistan is among the four countries that have agreed to host Palestinians prisoners released from Israeli prisons.
These Palestinian prisoners are being released as part of a prisoner exchange as a result of the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Speaking to Arab News yesterday, Hamas spokesman Dr. Khalid Maqdoumi said that some of the Palestinians released by Israel under the Gaza ceasefire agreement have arrived in Egypt.
In addition to Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Indonesia have also expressed their willingness to host the released prisoners.
Hamas spokesman Dr. Khaled Maqdoumi said that we thank the Pakistani government, the Pakistani people, and the Pakistani establishment for this.

Hamas spokesman Dr. Khaled Qadoumi told Arab News that Israel has so far released about 180 Palestinians and some of them have traveled to Egypt to settle there, several Muslim countries, including Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Indonesia, have expressed their readiness to host these prisoners.
It should be noted that Pakistan has not yet officially confirmed hosting the Palestinian prisoners released by Israel.
Meanwhile, according to the Quds Press, a Palestinian news agency considered close to Hamas, 99 Palestinian prisoners released by Israel have been sent to Egypt, of whom 263 are expected to be released after the completion of the first phase of the release process.
According to Quds Press, the number of Palestinian prisoners deported from Egypt so far has reached 99, and it is expected that the number will reach 263 after the end of the first batch.
The Hamas leader revealed to Quds Press that talks are currently underway with several countries to obtain their approval to host the remaining prisoners, including Turkey, Qatar, Pakistan, and Malaysia.
Algeria and Indonesia are currently being contacted to host the prisoners, while Tunisia has refused to host any Palestinian prisoners.
According to Quds Press, the Egyptian authorities chose a hotel as temporary accommodation for the Qadiwis, but Hamas had reservations about the high costs of the hotel, which could exceed one million dollars, Qatar intervened and promised to cover the costs of this accommodation.
Between October 7, 2023, and January 19, 2025, Israel committed genocide in Gaza, killing and wounding approximately 159,000 Palestinians, most of whom were children and women, and leaving more than 14,000 missing.
