Pakistan is in engagement with Iran to establish tourism route, as per Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Sindh’s Minister for Culture and Tourism.
This project involves making travel between the two countries better and making tourism more potent between the two countries.
However, while addressing the Pakistan Travel Mart organised at Expo Center Karachi, Shah talked about Pakistan’s long-term vision to ensure land connectivity with Turkey and Europe through Iran.
He also emphasized that this vision is consistent with the wider vision of regional integration and economic development of the country.
Shah guaranteed that the security issues previously existing in Karachi are no more. Therefore, an appropriate environment is now being provided for tourism investment.
He went on stressing that significant financial support is currently being made available. It aims to enhance the growth and development of the tourism sector.
He also confirmed that recently Pakistan has signed a cultural agreement with Iran at an event held by the Chief Minister’s House.
According to him, this agreement signifies the beginning of a new phase in Pakistan’s development. It will elevate the nation as a prime emerging destination for travelers.
He pointed out that Pakistan provides one of the most inviting tourism experiences in the area.
With respect to heritage preservation, Shah stated that Karachi’s historical structures are important to the city’s identity.
He also alluded to them as an integral expression of the appeal and the culture richness of the place.
To protect these architectural masterpieces, the government has specialized commission set up to handle their protection and restoration.
Pakistan Travel Mart, a 3 days event inaugurated by Shah, is live at the Expo Center Karachi.
Moreover, the exhibition has attracted travel industry professionals from 16 different countries across the globe.
The main purpose of it is to promote tourist development and generate economic opportunities in Pakistan.
