Pakistan’s internet traffic to Singapore, Japan, and the US West Coast has been disrupted due to a break in the TW1, a private fiber optic cable that connects the country to the rest of the globe, around 40 to 50 kilometers beneath the sea in Indonesia.
Many speed problems are being experienced by Pakistani internet service providers.
Internet service provider personnel in Pakistan acknowledged that TW1’s cable was destroyed, which is the reason Pakistan is experiencing internet issues. Coal Center and other big firms are also having major issues. Although fiber optic cable from PTCL Pakistan offers Pakistani consumers constant internet speed, fixing the cable could take more than two weeks.
