Pakistan has achieved a major milestone, generating over $4 billion revenue from rice exports for the first time.
Inspired by this achievement Sustainable Industries and Financial Corporation (SIFC) make a target of $5 billion for the coming fiscal year.
Reports say that an impressive growth in agricultural production has seen this year.
According to a rough estimate Basmati rice output has increased by188% this year. Silver rice production also increased by 17%.
Not only rice but Pakistan’s mango exports are also gaining traction in the global market. As per exports figures country exported 4,214 kilograms of mangoes to China.
Reports of Bureau of Statistics show that total exports revenue for the fiscal year 2025 reaches up to $5.05 billion.
Pakistan Refinery Limited has also reported a significant rise in profits. The company earned PKR 4.06 billion this year as compared to PKR 1.82 billion in 2023.
This figure represents a 14% increase compared to last year’s revenue of $4.43 billion.
