Pakistan is celebrating the 148th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with fervor and patriotism today.
The day began with prayers at mosques across the country, seeking progress, unity, and prosperity for the nation.
A 21-gun salute marked the occasion in provincial capitals, while national flags adorned key government and private buildings, symbolizing respect for the Father of the Nation.
At Karachi’s Mazar-e-Quaid, a ceremonial change of guards took place, adding a solemn yet celebratory tone to the day.
Across the country, various events, including seminars, exhibitions, debates, and cultural programs, are being held to honor Quaid-e-Azam’s life and his vision for a progressive, inclusive Pakistan.
Educational institutions are organizing activities like essay writing, art competitions, and discussions centered on his leadership and principles.
Media platforms are broadcasting documentaries and programs, while newspapers have dedicated special editions to highlight Jinnah’s legacy and his role in creating Pakistan.
In their messages, President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the need to uphold justice, equality, and education, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Jinnah as a leader of unmatched determination and vision.
The premier called on Pakistanis to draw inspiration from the Quaid’s values and work towards unity, prosperity, and progress.
“Today, as Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s 148th birth anniversary is celebrated, we are reminded of his extraordinary vision, unwavering courage, and unparalleled determination. He achieved what many thought impossible and gifted us our homeland — Pakistan,” said the PM on Quaid-e-Azam Day.
He further added, “As we commemorate this special day, let us draw strength from Quaid-i-Azam’s legacy and reaffirm our commitment to the values he stood for. It is our duty as Pakistanis to work tirelessly for the progress, prosperity, and unity of our nation.”
