The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread monsoon rains, with periods of heavy rainfall expected in various regions of Pakistan from August 26 to August 29, interspersed with occasional breaks.
According to the PMD, a low-pressure system currently situated over West Bengal is anticipated to move westward in the coming days, reaching southern Pakistan by August 25. As a result, parts of Pakistan are expected to experience intermittent monsoon rains, with some areas receiving heavy to very heavy rainfall between August 26 and August 29.
In Sindh, cities including Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, and several others are likely to see intermittent rainfall, with scattered heavy and isolated very heavy falls from the night of August 25 to August 29.
In Balochistan, regions such as Khuzdar, Kalat, Lasbella, and others are expected to receive intermittent rains with occasional heavy falls from August 26 to August 30.
Punjab and Islamabad are forecasted to experience rains, with some areas receiving heavy falls, particularly in cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Multan, from the night of August 25 to August 28.
