Belarus and Pakistan reiterated their commitment to enhancing their trade and economic ties on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko discussed this at their meeting in Islamabad today.
The two sides addressed regional and global concerns during their discussion, and Radio Pakistan reports that they were pleased with the excellent developments in all facets of Pakistan-Belarus ties during the last ten years.
According to the PM, the Belarusian president’s visit will be very beneficial in creating new opportunities for collaboration and partnership between the two nations.
On Monday, Prime Minister Sharif and other high-ranking government officials welcomed the president.
President Lukashenko received a warm reception at the Noor Khan Airbase.
Signing eight memorandums of understanding to increase trade and collaboration
During the Pakistan-Belarus Business Forum in Islamabad on Monday, eight memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed between Pakistan and Belarus to enhance bilateral trade and cooperation.
The signing of the Memorandums of Understanding between the two countries was seen on Monday by Belarusian Minister of Energy Aleksei Kushnarenko and Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan.
