Chief of Army Staff Gen Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to extend his felicitations on assuming office and convey his best wishes.
During the meeting at the Prime Minister House, discussions revolved around critical professional and security issues concerning the Pakistan Army.

The exchange underscored the importance of close coordination and collaboration between the military and civilian leadership in addressing the nation’s security challenges and advancing its interests.
Immediately after the meeting with COAS Asim Munir, the premier left for Peshawar where he is expected to meet with the families affected by the torrential rains and snowfall.
Shehbaz would also distribute compensation cheques among those who have been affected. He is also scheduled to meet with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor.
