Four memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed between Pakistan and Abu Dhabi Ports Group to strengthen cooperation in a number of areas, such as rail, airport infrastructure, and marine shipping and logistics.
According to a news statement from the PM Office, the MoUs were signed during a visit by a high-level team of UAE investors led by UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
The prime minister saw the signing of Memorandums of Understanding between the Abu Dhabi (AD) Ports Group and the Federal Board of Revenue, aviation, railroads, and maritime affairs ministries.
Pakistan and AD Ports Group will investigate possible cooperation in the areas of customs, rail, airport infrastructure, and marine shipping and logistics in accordance with memorandums of understanding.
The MoUs are intended to upgrade Pakistan’s international airports, its maritime fleet and marine services, its digital customs controls, and the construction of dedicated freight rail lines.
The prime minister thanked Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for their unwavering support of Pakistan during the delegation meeting.
PM emphasized the two countries’ extensive economic cooperation in areas including trade, energy, and investment, which has fueled both countries’ development and prosperity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized that the visit showed the UAE government’s dedication to expanding its investment presence in Pakistan.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s economy will benefit greatly from the UAE’s investments.
