Pakistan set a 185-run target for Bangladesh on the fourth day of the second Test on Monday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Hasan Mahmud took fifer and Nahid Rana got four wickets as Pakistan were bowled out for 172.
The pair claimed nine wickets, leaving the hosts battling. Rana, 21, removed Shan Masood (28), Babar Azam (11) and Saud Shakeel (two) in an express bowling stint as Bangladesh seeks its first series victory against Pakistan. He also took out Abrar Ahmed (2) later in the day.
Mahmud grabbed the opening two wickets on day three. Then, today, he showed danger man Mohammad Rizwan (43) the door before dismissing Abrar and Mir Hamza.
Bangladesh leads the two-match series 1-0 after dominating the first test in Rawalpindi last week.
The rain-affected Test saw the opening day of play on Friday washed out, but Bangladesh recovered spectacularly on the third day.
The visitors were 26-6 in reply to Pakistan’s 274 in the first innings until Litton Das (138) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (78) combined for a seventh-wicket stand of 165 to help Bangladesh reach 262.
