PAF has promised a spectacular aerobatic display on the opening ceremony of international cricket council (ICC) Champions Trophy tournament in Karachi.
This aerobatic show will be performed by world famous Sherdil Squadron.
Champions trophy will kick off with Pakistan-New Zealand opening encounter on Wednesday in Karachi.
Earlier PCB announced a grand opening ceremony. However, now the main attraction for the fans is the aerobatic show by Sherdil squadrons in Karachi. Once again Sherdil will be gracing the city’s skies, following a five-year break.
The Pakistani made JF-17 thunder, and F-16 will be taking part in the show.
The Sherdil that means lion hearted in Urdu, will execute their aerobatic stunts demonstrating their flying skills with complex maneuvers. It will feature barrel rolls, loops and bomb burst, while trailing colorful smoke.
Karakoram 8 aircraft will also be the part of show. This is an advanced Pakistan made training jet.
PAF uses this aircraft at Risalpur to give basic operational training to new pilots joining the academy. The plane can store weapons on its four hard points and a ballistic gun pod.
Sherdil squadron took the skies for first time in 1974. Over the years the squadron had evolved and come out to be the best among our Airforce.
The squadron had displayed its skill at various shows across the globe, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
In 2020, on 27 February, upon the first anniversary of downing Indian fighting jet the squadron showed the aerobatic skills over the sea View beach in Karachi.
The whole country is enjoying the initiative, while appreciating the institution for this step. Grand shows will add to the glory of event. It would enhance the good views of people about our country worldwide.
