Academy Awards, or more popularly known as the Oscars, are Hollywood’s most prestigious night, and are once again going to dazzle audiences worldwide. The 96th Academy Awards ceremony, to be held at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, celebrate the best of cinema from the past year. From groundbreaking performances to heartfelt speeches, the event will be a testament to the power of storytelling through film.
With historic wins that would mark a pivotal moment for the actors, directors, and others involved, this groundbreaking ceremony will have a significant impact on the film industry this year, and next.
But the iconic Oscar award won’t be the only thing shining! The exuberance and opulence of fashion statements on the red carpet, where Hollywood will showcase its impeccable style will be remembered for eons. From classic elegance to daring avant-garde looks, the Oscar red carpet has always been was a feast for the eyes, with attendees pushing the boundaries of fashion and self-expression.
When are the Oscars 2024 scheduled?
Marking the 96th Oscars ceremony, the award show will be held on Sunday, March 10, as announced by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC, on Monday.
The date marks a hat trick as Oscars will be conducted for the third consecutive year in the month of March.
The Academy scheduled the submission deadline for the nominations for general categories for the 2024 Oscars on November 18, 2023, and shortlists began on December 18 with the results announced on December 21. The nominations voting period will run from January 11-16, 2024, with the official nominations announcement made on January 23.
