Following the sentencing of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the £190 million reference case, opposition leaders held a crucial meeting at Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s residence.
During this significant gathering with the head of the Awam Pakistan party, discussions were held about the country’s political situation.
The meeting was attended by leaders of the Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain Pakistan (Movement to Protect the Constitution of Pakistan), including Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Asad Qaiser, Umar Ayub, Salman Akram Raja, Allama Nasir Abbas, and Sahibzada Hamid Raza.
Additionally, Miftah Ismail and Sardar Mehtab Abbasi were also present.

He emphasized the importance of striving for the supremacy of the Constitution at every level in the country.
He added that Mahmood Achakzai had invited everyone to join in a movement for constitutional supremacy, and his party would deliberate on this invitation.
After the meeting, senior politician Mahmood Achakzai remarked, “Today we received very distressing news that the PTI founder had been sentenced to 14 years. However, there is good news that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is ready to join efforts for the supremacy of the constitution.”
He further stated that an understanding had been reached during the meeting to work towards this goal.
PTI leader Asad Qaiser, who was also present, said that the sentencing of the PTI founder was a stain on the justice system.
He emphasized the need to unite everyone on a single-point agenda for the rule of law and constitutional supremacy in the country.
