Muslims from all India marched toward Mumbai under the leadrership of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader c against islamophobia.
In this march about 12,000 muslims participated. This march was held specifically to stand against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Nitesh Rane and Hindu preacher Ram Giri Maharaj for their hatred remarks against Muslims.
This march was held in response of escalating worries regarding discrimination and religious intolerance experienced by minorities especially Muslims in india. Demonstrators call for action against those who are spreading religious hatred and are violating Muslim communities.
Before this march Multiple cases have been filed against BJP MLA Nitesh Rane in Maharashtra for his bad words against Muslims. Regarding this matter lawyer Wasi Syed has filed a petition in the High Court.
Addressing the protesters Imtiaz Jaleel said that we held this march to remind the government to take important measures to secure minorities rights.
Imtiaz said that government has forgotten the religious and cultural rights of minorities. He added that government and police take no action when Muslims are abused.
AIMM leader criticized the political parties who exploit religion and caste to gain political benefits. He strictly condemned this politicization of religion and caste.
Imtiaz warned the government that this kind of behaviour toward Muslims is not acceptable.
