Norway: Norwegian police detained the 27-year-old son of the crown prince’s wife, Marius Borg Høiby, on charges of rape attempt.
Høiby’s mother, Mette-Marit became Crown Princess in 2001 when she married Crown Prince Haakon of Norway.
According to a Norwegian police statement, the raped woman was unconscious or in no position to resist.
The royal family of Norway hasn’t made or issued any official statement regarding Høiby’s arrest and police statement.
In this regard, the royal family members avoid talking to to media. Høiby is raised alongside the half-siblings Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 20, and Prince Asphaira Magnus, 20, but unlike them, he has never been entrusted with any official duties.
Høiby was first arrested on August 4 at an apartment in Oslo following an argument with a woman, who accused him of torture. He was detained again in September for breaching protective orders. According to police, Høiby was taken into custody on Monday evening, but no further arrests have been made.
