The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce, has agreed to a two-year contract deal, as per local media reports.
The article claims that Kelce, 34, would become the highest-paid tight end in the National Football League (NFL) with the $34.25 million agreement.
The Chiefs star will stay in Kansas City through the end of the 2027 season as a result of the agreement.
Since being selected by Kansas City in the 2013 NFL Draft, Kelce has been the team’s finest pass catcher and is considered one of the league’s top tight ends.
The longest pass-catching streak in team history, at 158 games, has been completed by the nine-time Pro Bowler.
He led the Chiefs in receiving yards (984), receptions (93) and targets (121) during the previous campaign.
In addition, he had a team-high 32 receptions, 355 receiving yards, and three touchdown catches in Kansas City’s Super Bowl 58 triumph over the San Francisco 49ers in February.
Being the top pass-catching target for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kelce has played his whole career for the Chiefs, helping the team win three Super Bowls in the last five years.
