The final of the T20 World Cup was played between New Zealand and South Africa in Dubai.
Kiwis lost their first wicket for 16 runs, Suzy Bates contributed 32 runs, while Emilia Kerr delivered an impressive performance with a score of 43 runs.
Brooke Halliday helped the team to reach 158 runs for the loss of five wickets scoring 38 runs.
On the bowling side, South African bowler Noon Koluleke took two wickets.
While chasing the target, South African openers scored 51 runs. However, the first wicket fell, and more wickets followed shortly after.
Captain Laura topped the scoring charts with 33 runs, leading the team to a total of 126 runs for nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs. This performance secured New Zealand’s first-ever T20 World Cup title with a 32-run victory.
Emilia Kerr was named both the Player of the Tournament and the Player of the Final.
