LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Nawaz Sharif would be the prime ministerial candidate if his party secured simple majority in the general elections.
Shehbaz Sharif said that if they failed to secure the simple majority then thorough consultation would be done with the relevant parties for the candidate of the prime minister.
“The tomorrow elections will decide the fate of the government and its future,” said Shehbaz Sharif while talking to a local private TV on Wednesday.
The former prime minister said that there is a need for making significant decisions, including the sale of assets causing losses.
He also highlighted the importance of education, pointing out the necessity of providing quality education to both boys and girls.
Shehbaz Sharif recalled the recruitment of one hundred fifty thousand teachers during their tenure, all of whom, he claimed, were appointed based on merit.
He also mentioned initiation of appropriate training programs for these teachers.
Shahbaz emphasized the collective progress in the field of education and the significance of advancements in the IT sector.
Moreover, he mentioned the representation of women in the party’s parliamentary board meeting and the establishment of vocational centers for thousands of women in Punjab.
