Actress Nigar Chaudhry and over ten YouTubers are the targets of a complaint filed by former actress Nargis with the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime unit, alleging that they have damaged her reputation on social media.
Citing sections 20, 21, and 511 of the PECA Act, an FIA Lahore spokeswoman attested to the cybercrime cell’s registration of the case.
Abida Usmani, Nigar Chaudhry, and more than ten YouTubers are among the defendants in this lawsuit.
According to Nargis, these people’s actions on social media harmed her reputation.
It’s also crucial to remember that Nargis had previously accused Inspector Majid Bashir, her husband, of assault after a disagreement over money. Following the event, she filed a lawsuit against him at the defense district of Lahore.
According to Nargis’ brother, Khurram Bhatti, her husband frequently resorts to violence over minor disagreements.
The incident has sparked public concern, but local police noted they have yet to receive an official complaint from actress or her family.
They assured that legal action would follow if a formal report is submitted.
Nargis, who shifted away from her acting career a few years back, now manages a beauty salon after her marriage to Inspector Bashir.
