The National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has issued a threat alert amid the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) protest on November 24.
NACTA has warned about the possibility of terrorist attacks during the upcoming the PTI protest in Islamabad.
According to NACTA this threat is posed by the extremist group Fitna al-Khawarij, which is planning to carry out attacks during the protest, reportedly.
“Members of Fitna al-Khawarij have reportedly crossed the Pak-Afghan border on the nights of November 19 and 20. The terroristic group is planning to target public gatherings in various locations”, NACTA stated.
In wake of this possible attack by Fitna al-Khawarij, NACTA has urged authorities to declare high alert in anticipation of possible attacks.
