The anti-corruption watchdog- NAB- has raided the office of Bahria Town in Rawalpindi, media reports say.
As per some private TVs, the National Accountability Bureaus has launched investigations against the alleged irregularities committed in country’s biggest real-state firm. Reports also mentioned that NAB officials have taken into custody some records from the office.
“An investigation is being conducted in property allotment matter to Bahria Enclave,” according to officials.
During the raid at corporate office of Bahria Town, the teams stayed for over two hours, seizing all important record including files of the housing society and digital data from computers and laptops. NAB teams were accompanied by the police and elite forces.
TV reports mentioned the land of Bahria Enclave was given the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for the Zoo.
NAB has already investigating the role of Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz in alleged corruption case of Al-Qadir Trust case against former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi. Malik Riaz is currently outside the country and in his latest post on X he made it clear that he would not bow to any political pressure.
