According to Shehrbano Qureshi, the daughter of imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, her father remains optimistic about receiving justice in the country.
Shehrbano talked to reporters outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail after visiting her father, mentioning that during their meeting on Monday, he appeared to be in good health.
Qureshi’s daughter mentioned that her father holds hope for the legal process to unfold fairly in the nation. She noted that the recent display of courage by six judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has further bolstered his spirits.
Qureshi and the party’s founder, Imran Khan, are both confronting a 10-year prison sentence in the cipher case.
Despite the challenges they face, both leaders are committed to seeing Pakistan thrive and remain resilient, as per Shehrbano. As for the legal proceedings concerning the former foreign minister, she informed that appeals against Qureshi’s convictions in the cipher case are scheduled for April 16.
