Mumbai Police have arrested Faizan Khan, the man who allegedly threatened Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, on Tuesday.
Faizan Khan, a 42-year-old lawyer from Raipur, has accused of threatening Shah Rukh Khan.
Previously Faizan allegedly made a call at Bandra police station in which he threatened Shah Rukh Khan and demanded a ransom of 50 Lakh rupees.
Following this threat call police filed a case against the suspect under various charges.
Mumbai police took immediate action and started an investigation. Investigators traced the threatening call to Faizan, a lawyer from Raipur. His mobile number was registered to the device used to make the call.
However, during investigation Faizan claimed that someone has stolen his phone on November 2, and he had reported the theft to the Khamaradia police station. He said that the call made from his stolen phone as part of a conspiracy.
“My phone was stolen, and I had already filed a complaint, which I informed the Mumbai police about. They interrogated me for nearly two hours”, Faizan stated to media.
It is worth noting that Faizan Khan has previously filed a complaint against Shah Rukh Khan at the Bandra police station. In this complaint Faizan raised an issue with a scene in the 1994 Shah Rukh Khan film Anjaam, in which Shah Rukh character hunted a deer.
“I am from Rajasthan, and the Bishnoi community is close to me. Deer is a sacred animal for this community. So, when Shah Rukh Khan made such a scene about deer, it was unacceptable. That’s why I raised an objection,” Faizan told the media.
Faizan added that the threat may be related to a personal grudge. He thinks the call could be part of a notorious plan of someone.
Earlier Salman Khan has also received death threats from the Bishnoi gang, but this is the first time Shah Rukh Khan got warning in such a manner.
