MrBeast and Thea Booysen are officially engaged

The 26-year-old content creator shared the exciting news with his millions of followers on January 1. In an Instagram post MrBeast revealed that he had proposed to Booysen on Christmas Day.

In his posts, Jimmy and his girlfriend can be seen cherishing the iconic moment when he presented her with the ring. The couple were wearing in matching MrBeast-branded Christmas sweaters beside a festive tree, surrounded by their loved ones.

Later Booysen, originally from South Africa, also shared a heartfelt video of herself showing off her engagement ring while sitting on MrBeast’s lap.

In an interview with People, Booysen shared the details of the proposal. “We were opening presents, and then for the very last one, he asked me to close my eyes for a surprise. He dropped a large box to create suspense before revealing the true gift – the ring. He then proposed me on one knee”, Booysen recalled.

The couple’s relationship began in 2022 when they met during MrBeast’s visit to South Africa. Reflecting on their relationship, Booysen said, “I fell in love with his intellect. To me, that’s everything—his mind, his dedication, his character.”

When asked about the wedding, MrBeast revealed that he is planning to arrange a private wedding ceremony despite his massive online fame. He emphasized the importance of creating a meaningful and intimate occasion for his closest friends and family, saying, “I don’t take many vacations because of my workload, so I want to ensure that our wedding is a memorable and special day.”
